City moves away on the weekends.
yeah, no kidding. I was a stoked to just live in italy for a couple of
months, but it's like everyone here has a dooms day attitude about
traveling, every weekend is booked for them. this means that no one is
around on the weekends so i got really depressed and bord the first few
months, and the trip to prague is super cheap cause it's a student flight and the hostles are cheap there, suposivly. ive been washing my cloths in the sink and cooking at home this whole time- i've been really smart about the money. you don't really know how much a trip is going to cost till you get back, plus i really wanted to go some place with angela. she comes
tomorrow.
i've just been really happy about the fact angela's coming.

Time Flys when you are having fun.
the time is flying by so fast, angela's getting on the plane in a few hours.
I feel like I'm reliving coming to italy through her all over again.
I'm really confused right now, everything is
happening so fast.

Matt and Megan get the flu
last night I had a dream that zombies were eating my ankles and my roomate
said I woke her up cause I was making fighting sound effects in my sleep.
so apparentlly, my housemates and I got into big trouble for being the messy
girls we are, and so our land lord raided our appartment. she told the
school that I was having boys over cause she found my tiny blue boxers with
the tractors on it and decided that they somehow belonged to some sexy
twenty something old male. I wish.
the past few weeks have been a blast. once I figured out that my roomate was
just being moody cause she's on the rag 3 times a month, we get along great.
our favorite thing to do is eat 3 euro pizza, drink wine, and make fun of
mtv euro. it's the only way to bond over so many differences.
tonight i'm going to see a midsummer's night dream, in italian. I'm stoked.
about a week ago I saw a modern opera about robots, in english, by an
italian composer, and it included a scene with lasers.
I went to rome this past weekend, and almost died. I was visiting two of the
most amazing people in the world, my friends matt and teresa, and I made
them carbinara pasta (with a lot of help). everything was going fine till I
woke up in the middle of the night and puked my brains out. Strange enough,
matt and I were the only ones effected by this midnight plague, out of the 6
who partook in the pasta fest. we thought we'd been struck by food
poisoning, but according to the local news, we were in fact the victims of a
flu epidemic. Thanks to Teresa's chicken soup , I'm doing fine now.
oh yeah, and I saw the sistine chapel and the vatican, and it was mind
blowing.
last week I played my first show at an italian bar. it was a blast, the sound
system broke, and everybody clapped at the end cause I kept smiling the
whole time. little did they know I was having the time of my life, and I was
getting all the free drinks I could imagine. who's laughing now, silly sound
man.
my life experiences from the past two weeks or so have taught me this:
move to canada or Mexico, stay away from ankle eating zombies, don't get the
flu, and hold people to their promises - it shows them respect.oh yeah, and
what happens in italy, stays in italy.
I'm going to go get more free wine across the street.
cheers,
megan
ps:stay tuned next time for the adventures of megan and angela, as they do
prague.
